One of the benefits of active membership is entering your work to display with the Minnesota Landscape Arboretum Photographer's Society group exhibits as well as entering juried individual exhibits.
By exhibiting as a group, we show the diversity of the Arboretum from an individual flower to its luxurious landscapes as seen through the eyes of different Society members.
We currently have over 40 active members. We often exhibit examples of nature/organic photography using techniques and skills acquired while being part of the Minnesota Landscape Arboretum Photographer's Society.
Tim Kenny (Director of Education at the Arboretum), Arboretum staff and the viewing public at the Arboretum, had high praises for our January 2008 gallery exhibit at the Arboretum in the Oswald Center Great Hall. The Arboretum even sponsored a fabulous billboard in support of the show. WCCO and Fox 9 televised reported about the exhibit!
Stop in to see the 2010 exhibit! Happening January 8th - February 7th, 2010 in the Great Hall of the Oswald Visitor Center.
Intense Beauty – Plants Up Close
The theme of the 2010 show encourages an exploration of the plants at the arboretum; capturing the stages of life from seed to reproduction to decay and return to soil.
